OUR STORY

In 2019 an opportunity arose whereby a retail shop front in Homeworld Helensvale became available for lease. The Homeworld Association is focused on bringing together Australia’s leading home improvement brands in one location.

Bear Boy Espresso at Helensvale came about almost opportunistically. Founders, Brodie and Andy are born and bred Gold Coasters who love the coffee and brunch scene cultivated here. Though being based on the north side, they were always disappointed by the lack of quality Cafes’ close to home so when the line of new commercial spaces branching off of Homeworld Helensvale opened up to the public they couldn’t resist.

Neither one of them being the kind to go ‘half-way’ in, they launched into it head on creating a stunning ninety seat venue with plans to one day expand. Now with a growing reputation and a loyal customer base Bear Boy Espresso is the go to on the north end of the Coast for anyone looking for an all day brunch menu, specialty coffee and a good vibe.

Not only bringing badly needed vibes to the north side we at Bear Boy are also committed to moving towards a carbon neutral business that only sources organic and ethically produced products, and we believe in and support local producers and craftsmen.
